The Fourth Meeting of the GCC “AFAQ” Bank Advisory Forum

On Thursday, October 3, 2024, the fourth “AFAQ” Bank Advisory Forum (ABAF) meeting was held at the headquarters of Muscat Bank in the Sultanate of Oman,  in the presence of representatives from commercial banking sectors in the GCC region.

The meeting reviewed its various agenda items, focusing on developments in the program for onboarding commercial banks and the committee’s current and future efforts to enhance the services of the “AFAQ” system.

The committee expressed its gratitude to the central banks and the company for their efforts in meeting the requirement to extend the business operating hours of the “AFAQ” system. This extension enables customers across all categories to transfer payments for longer periods of time during the system’s operational day, thereby enhancing customer satisfaction and increasing the volume of transactions.
