On September 9, 2024, a meeting was held at the headquarters of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) in Paris, France, between the CEO of the Gulf Payments Company, Mr. Ali Mohammed Alhomidan, and Mr. Klaus Lober, Chair of the ESMA Supervisory Committee, and one of the leading experts in payment systems, governance, and financial settlements.

The meeting’s agenda covered several topics focused on enhancing cooperation with ESMA and leveraging Mr. Lober’s expertise in developing the Gulf Payment System “AFAQ” and improving its governance.
