Onboarding of Oman Arab Bank and Sohar International to AFAQ

On Tuesday, September 9, 2025, the Oman Arab Bank and Sohar International was onboarded to “AFAQ” among the commercial banks operating in Sultanate of Oman.

It is worth mentioning that the banks that had previously joined “AFAQ” from Oman are the Central Bank of Oman, Bank Muscat, and Bank Dhofar, in addition to the central and commercial banks from the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, bringing the total number of participating banks in the system to 69 banks.
