The Third Meeting of the GCC “AFAQ” Bank Advisory Forum

On Thursday, May 30, 2024, the third “AFAQ” Bank Advisory Forum (ABAF) meeting was held at the headquarters of National Bank of Bahrain, in the presence of representatives from commercial banking sectors in the GCC region. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Ali Alhomidan, the CEO of Gulf Payments Company.
The meeting addressed several topics related to enhancing the services of the “AFAQ” system, including a review of the onboarding program for central and commercial banks, current work programs, and achievements.
Additionally, it highlighted future projects aimed at developing and enhancing the system’s services.
The meeting concluded by showcasing the successful experience of commercial banks in the Kingdom of Bahrain in promoting and utilizing the services of the “AFAQ” system.
